That’s it, was fun while it lasted we will go down like a pack of cards now as the squad is just not strong enough with three first choice players out for the season now. Come West Ham make that top 4 now.
Arsenal got what they deserved, a proper hiding

In the 1980s I watch a FA Cup final between Liverpool and Everton. Everton equalized in the dying minutes but Liverpool won in extra time. Thats how I ended up supporting Liverpool in the Premier League. Only later I found out both where from Merseyside. Always had a soft spot for Everton.
Tonight is a do or die game for Everton. They have to win away against Burnley who also are fighting relegation. Hoping they win.
The other team that I am fond off is Leeds because of Lucas Radebe. They had players like, Keane, Viduka, Bowyer, Smith, etc. They even reached a Champions League semi final. They also fighting relegation and have a crucial game against Watford, another relegation side.

I think in the late 80’s Everton had a crunch match against Wimbledon I think. It was the last match of the season and Everton had to win to stay up. Towards the dying minutes of the game Wimbledon’s keeper (Beasant I think, correction Hans Segers) let in a very dodgy goal. I remember it at the time and saying to myself that the goal looked very weak. Everton won the game and stayed up. Some years later, the same time as the Grobelaar affair, there was an enquiry into that goal. Oh yes.

Everton in grave danger of relegation now after losing to fellow strugglers Burnley last night. They have a very difficult 4 games coming up, Man United, Leicester, Liverpool and Chelsea after which they may find themselves in the bottom 2.

Two of Arsenals best performing players, Partey and Tierney have both been ruled out for the rest of the season. Top 4 gone hope that they can hang on for a place in the Europa league.
