Race (1)
Poltergeist to spook them, must not give Imposing Angel too much start, one who enjoys racing handy, especially carrying 4.0kgs less and is drawn well.

Race (2)
Antico Amore overcame the draw last time and had little to come at the business end of the race. Jumping from draw 1, if not losing ground, must be the one they all have to beat. The favourite, Arctic Ice (8/10), very skinny in the market and keeps finding one better, just feel an improver will roll her again, and the one open to improvement is Antico Amore.

Race (3)
Top Quality doesn’t have to be too smart to win this, watch the betting.

Race (4)
Double Superlative won’t miss.

Race (5)
Kasimir weighted to win this.

Race (6)
Persistance the marginal choice in a difficult race.

Race (7)
Warrior Bling, not a confident choice, but performs well at the course.

Race (8)
I’m In Love not ridden out last time should appreciate the extra.

Multiple
R1) Poltergeist (w) X (R2) Antico Amore (w) X (R4) Double Superlative (w) X (R6) Persistance (3 places) X (R8) I’m In Love (3 places)
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Sunny day, not much wind. Going is good and course will run quite fast. Watch out for improvement from horses that did not act in the heavy going during winter.
Race 1 Looks a two horse race between Poltergeist and Imposing Angel, and I would think that Poltergeist is preferred, but a bit too skinny priced.
Race 2 The scratching of Antico Amore gives Arctic Ice her best opportunity to shed her maiden.
Race 3 Sky God and Admirals Ransom have fair form, but there are a number of lightly raced ones that could improve to win this.
Race 4 Double Superlative should win this. Dangers are Silent War and Autumn Moon.
Race 5 Kasimir flopped last time but should have come on from that and better this distance. If he fails, then an open contest.
Race 6 An open race. We have Treasure Hunt against the boys- wide draw, but a useful effort last time and should not be far off again although should be better further. Persistance possibly the one to beat.
Race 7. Very open.
Race 8. Not much between 1,2,3,4 and they should fight it out unless a good first timer

Justin snaith comments before the 1st where classic and I quote " had the dentist round and now the horses are coughing " drifts like a barge and runs accordingly
Race 3 : Navy Strength " Talking horse at the stables " drifts like a barge and runs accordingly
Race 4: Double Superlative 3/10 " top horse "
Race 8: I'm In Love " the best bet on the card "

They coughing but they all well according to Snaith.
And with Kasimir, his boetie said something like if it doesn't win then you not the right trainer or something.
And yes didn't even find a place.
Really wonder what an average trainer in the Cape can do with some of his horses.
He just gets the best horses and should do well just because the horse is good but I'm sure give Piet Botha or Eric Sands even Greg Ennion some of his horses and they will do just as good if not better.

When Justin tells you the horse is his "best bet" ...
