Greyville Guineas Day, 07/05

Where's Senor Bob, such a nice card and no thread started as yet? Well someone's got to start.

Really think this card gets more difficult after the first three races. The Feature races, 4, 5 and 6, punters are on the back foot not knowing the fitness levels of, dare i say it, the Cape horses. Last year, Linebacker came out after winning the Cape Derby, and trotted up in the Guineas, which was deemed on the sharp side. Think Legislate did something similar before that. Going to try and make early money, and enjoy the racing.

Fancy the first double :-

Race (1)
Vasilikos on exposed form. Second run after the gelding from barrier 1 with handy running tactics should be the one they all have to beat.

Race (2)
Interesting jockey bookings in respect of Fourie and Kennedy in relation to the Dawson stable. Expeditioner, to be ridden by Fourie, whilst Kennedy rides Grey View for G van Zyl. Expeditioner consistent since being rested, having it’s peak run, the likely improver and from a fair draw should win this.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Hello Everyone
Greetings and Warm Wishes from as far back as India, am following South African racing for the past 1 year or so and its very exciting to say the least and a bit pained to see the negative comments about some races (That's racing, you know, it happens everywhere and South Africa is in no way an exception), Will be sharing some of my experiences here and hoping it will be a positive one.

Kind Regards
Anand Basappa

What happened to race 9? Missing in Gallop, Formgrids, Winning Form and Computaform.

… and race 10. Seemingly only available in Gallop and Winning Form.

🤷‍♂️

Race 3 is over 2300m on the turf. (Seemingly, there was only one previous 2300m race).
