Big star names line up for global quality racing on Sunday.

Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite Galopin Des Champs is a star name in a Punchestown Chase on Sunday.

Champion Chase winner Energumene, and owned by Brighton FC chairman, is also a star name in a race at Cork also on Sunday.

Golden Sixty is also on course for a Hong Kong Mile hat-trick bid on Sunday.

Group One-winning mare Princess Zoe could now be tried over hurdles. (C’mon, she’s 7yo).

Frost covers will be used at Doncaster and Cheltenham in a bid to see the weekend’s main racing action survive an icy blast.

Frankie Dettori has already outlined his intention to head to Santa Anita and spend the early part of 2023 riding in California and now Kingscote, derby winning jockey, is set to join him in the USA.

Stone Age, Broome and Order Of Australia all go for gold in respective races in Hong Kong on Sunday.

Golden Sixty has been drawn in stall four the Hong Kong Mile.

Zac Purton, who has the chance to become the outright most successful jockey in the Hong Kong Mile, rides California Spangle who has twice finished 2nd to Golden Sixty in this race.

Couple of decent horses running today

Doncaster should be a good race between NUSRET 12/10 and Scriptwriter 5/2.
Both good on flat and promise over hurdles.

Cheltenham where Monmiral and Epatante are worth watching.

I remember when we used to ha 4-6 week shutdowns in UK due to ice frost and snow.
BBC TV with David Coleman and Peter O'sullevan used to do simulated pools forecast and races with specially selected panels locked in to hotel rooms.
Things have definitely moved on since then

Not sure if there will be racing today?

Newcastle on the flat
Southwell over the jumps
Cork where Energumene might run
