UK weather yesterday, did they race ?
2 years 4 months ago
I did mention on a post that if yesterday's meeting was held in the States or UK it would have gone ahead .

We must also consider it was over the jumps, really heavy going and pouring during a few races

The fact that the UK can make money from these 3 horse jump races shows how much the greats locally are missing out by not allowing Betfair into the country.

Betfair may not be legal here if you don't have an overseas account however I knew a bloke who worked for Betfair here and he told me that PhumelelaGold were paid a percentage on all bets struck on SA Racing.
The best thing that could ever happen is for Betfair to be legalised here, my win and place action is almost exclusively with Betfair.

You know how many more horses would be pulled out the race as the jockey felt something amiss!
If betfair was here I could have already retired by just laying Purton on odds on shots but our racing is too poorly policed to allow lay betting.

Betfair in running betting would be nice to have.

You can't lay Purton because Hong Kong doesn't allow Betfair to take its races. The difference is, they're entitled to do that because they have mass volume and efficiencies in their betting system.
South Africa on the other hand, are protecting a segment of the market which won't even lay big bets to those that actually win.
