Joe Root coming back into form is massive for England with the world cup looming....

Great come back by the WIndies to bowl England out and win . Two brilliant teams going head to toe against each other, can’t wait for the next match

The field is set for full bowling, yet the bowlers are bowling short and Sri Lanka are just helping themselves to runs.

You just can’t teach stupid

What's the odds Amla retires from tests after this match?

Both test venues had very similar conditions on the first day, overcast conditions and a greenish pitch and on both occasions SA won the toss and batted first. In the first match they slumped to 17/3 so were on the backfoot in the first 45 minutes already and in this match it was 15/3 in the first innings. Both matches lost there and then.

My question is why did the SA captain not learn from his mistake. He is naive or just plan arrogant to think that he could have corrected his glaring mistake from the first test.

What really rankles is that Sri Lanka scored 137 runs without losing a wicket in this mornings session. The Proteas showed no desire or urgency to try and win this morning as it appeared that they gave up very early in the session. Credit to Sri Lanka for taking full advantage and fully deserved 2-0 series win. Hopefully they like the West Indies will take huge confidence out of their test series wins and will become a force in test cricket again.

With just 3 months out from the WC the SA selectors are still in the dark to what there squad or first choice team will be. It does not bode well for the comp and I am making a call here, SA will NOT make it to the semi final

IMO this will be one of the weakest squads we have sent to a WC

My two cents ..... not sure if batting first made any difference .... whether you bat first or second you still need to have a few batsmen to score runs - only ones that did not disgraces themselves are du Plessis and de Kock; I agree that Mckenzie should still be around because obviously the guy in charge of batting (Benkinstein ?) is not up to scratch - so batting a problem

But all not well with the bowling either - we have a pace attack that does not have a clue on how to bowl on a pitches that slides on (as opposed to pace and bounce) and venues where one needs to swing the ball - if we played Sri Lanka at the Wanderers or Centurion, the result may well have been different; Olivier a typical example of this - and then we have a spinner who imo is only in the team because the other spinners out there are really not that great - or are the selectors overlooking someone ?

World Cup - unfortunately without AB, I won't be surprised if we don't make the play-offs :(

I see Duanne Olivier has signed a Kolpak deal. One of the pre requisites of a Kolpak deal is to play certain amount of internationals. Was the Proteas used so he then sign a county deal....

No real loss as he is a one dimensional bowler ie short and hope the ball bounces and the opposing batters shit themselves. It worked against the Pakistanis but not the Sri Lankans and will not work against India, England, The West Indies or the Aussies on no matter what pitch is prepared.

Him deciding to play in the UK is about the money. If we have a hot summer then good luck in taking wickets as a bowler who as i said is one dimensional. He will be playing in front of a couple of 100 people in the 4 day game, and a few thousand in the one day comps.

If it rains in the summer, and yes it can, and especially in Yorkshire where in can get very misreable.
