As an added wrinkle why not give 50 points to the one who can predict the first goal scorer and time of goal. That would give the person in last place on the list of guessing right and winning - what are the chances someone does get it right, very slim.

Let's see who has the strongest crystal ball, or whether reading tea leaves actually works.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Good idea, if that was the plan from the onset. Only a corrupt politician is capable of moving the goal posts when he/she realises that they can’t win

Blady hell,do you actually think every foul is a life threatening incident?
There are refs and Var so even if he was trying to fool them it's up to those bodies to give the right decision.

Doubt anyone would get it right, but yes, rules are rules.

No need to be hyperbolic...intent is guided by one's own moral and ethics not by there being refs and VAR to get the decision right...it's not fine even if you don't get away with it...the attempt is sufficient to show crookedness...

To each their own...

Football players, not all, be it an international, club or playing in the park, will always try an influence the ref either by diving, holding on, pretending to be injured, flashing imaginary cards for the ref to book players. They are at it all the time because winning nowadays is everything as the more you win the bigger the next contract.

The way you put it then, never mind trying for a penalty, any player chancing a foul anywhere on the pitch is crooked.
I think every team playing in the Euros would be crooked for you then.
This happens in every game anywhere in the world so don't just point out the Italian dubious penalty shout.
Italy got to the finals playing quality football and thoroughly deserve to be there, enough said.

As for England also.
They have played good football and deserve to be in the finals.
The English players never pointed the laser in the penalty shoot out,it was their fans,so you can't call the England players cheats.

You can play quality football and be crooked...they are not mutually exclusive traits.. :-)

And yes, all teams are guilty of same and not just in soccer...actually detracts, for me, from watching as more time spent on discussion of the controversial acts than the quality...

Whoever wins tomorrow will, in their and their supporters minds, have earned it...good on them...enjoy...
