The deal brokered by an absolute stunner Amanda Staveley. Two previous attempts to buy and broker a deal with Newcastle FC had failed. She was also involved in the Man City FC buyout in 2008. There was later an unsuccessful deal for bin Rashid ( the big racing guy) to buy a portion of Liverpool FC.

Yip, her association with the Sheiks, particularly the Godolohin racing stable, started when she had a restaurant near Nearmarket racecourse.

She once dated Prince Andrew :-)

Just as well the quote says.... SOME says....

90% of fans are in favour of the sale after 14 years in the wilderness with the current owners.

IMO the price is way over the top.
I had a very good friend who was a Geordie fan. However he is in heaven now and will be smiling again.
As for the popularity of the club world - wide???
