Re: Re:Mauritius racing chaos ratchets up to a new level.
1 year 11 months agoWhat a venue to go racing at, it has by far the most enthusiastic patrons at a venue I have raced at and I have raced in the States and Europe extensively previously.
I found it interesting that Deanthan Moodley our own fired then reinstated stipe is mentioned as a bad apple. Lessons not learnt I see. What a chop I hope he gets fired, he is a piece of work
Resignation – Chief Stipendiary Steward KwaZulu-Natal
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that our Chief Stipendiary Steward in KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Deanthan Moodley, who commenced his career with the NHA as a Stipendiary Steward in Johannesburg in 2015 and was appointed as the Chief Stipendiary Steward in KwaZulu-Natal on 1 November 2019, has tendered his resignation and as a result will leave the employ of the NHA on 2 February 2022, to take up a Stipendiary Steward position in Mauritius later this month.
So he is a stipe in Mauritius now

Looks good Dave - Need to teach you how to email photos from your ipad to the PC/phone rather than taking photos of the photos.
On the topic - One thing I love about MRU racing is how the crowd always seems to cheer the same if it is an outsider or the favourite winning. Makes we wonder if either they are all in the know or are more there to enjoy the racing rather than to make money.

Yes the bookies ring at Mauritius reminded me of the old rings at the Big T and Germiston, plenty cash, screaming out for a punt and a few big bookies who were not scared to hold a big wager .
