Just read article, if you can call it that. The size of match box at bottom of page.
The substances were Flunixin and Ramifenazone. Flunixin is strong pain killer.
Can we thus conclude that he (Spies) knew the horse had a problem and masked it with a painkiller and ran it anyway???

Their was a post on the forum about this.

i started it but i did not know the horse was running on pain killers(if it is proven to be the case) just thought the chap needed a break as he seemed to try so hard

Their should be a limit on how many times a horse runs in a month.

I mean the owner knows just as much , the trainer informs the owner before entering a horse in a race.

Spies has a string of horses, surely he can give others a chance.

So I was right then, That sad! infact its sick! How the hell can anyone have done that to a poor horse? Henny your silance on this is odd? Where you? Get some answers for us? Look to be fair has he been found guilty yet?

i did speak to a few trainers about this and certain guys are excellent at it - The late Kevin Maroun, our own Grecko has done so admirably even de kock - but if a horse is feeling something you should rest it - remember the jock aboard could be injured or any of the other runners too if the horse should break down in running - no one wants to see a horse break down

But the bottomline is if the horse ran so many times in a month he must have been sore and thus ......
