I know we dont but i think its a good thing. After all we have won bugger all for ages and still think we are a massive club. I am happy with mid table.

well there is an example of a "massive" club in the shit
and leeds is another "massive" club in the shit
the sooner we realise we are just a mid table club (for now) the better because then we can hire ONE manager and he can stay for 15 years and yes you got it GIVE US CONSISTENCY

This is what Shea had to say as per sahorseracing.com:
"There is a bit of jealousy in the jockey's room with the South African's doing so well, what can we do. We had to get out of it and it just shows what a class filly she is. She should have won by 4 or 5 lengths"
If u think about it taking a big long striding horse with a strong turn of foot up the inside Shea was looking for trouble to start with. Horses that come from off the pace have a better chance on the outside as there is lessor chance of being boxed in. That is riding 101 and I bet u Shea will admit he should have taken her to the outside before there was any chance of being baulked.
Whilst Shea must be applauded for not giving up and riding for his life lets realise that Sun Classique was GONE with 150 to go and her class and ability brought her home.
There are very few horses that would have won in that position. If Shea was on a lessor horse we would all be saying what a shit ride that was. Gents and ladies I will give most of the credit to Sun Classique for that win.
Kinane and Detorri are the best in the business and are ultra competetive. U give them a chance to stick u out and they will take it. In a way its nice to see sportsmen are jealous of South Africans, it means we are doing well!

sorry HH, your comment about MJ Byleveld cannot go uncontested... i backed country song that day and the horse was squeezed badly and had to check for a couple of strides late on in the race thus loosing vital momentum.... Its too easy for punters and owners alike to moan about things like these when it costs them - In the nature of the sport, things like these are bound to happen - and sometimes jockeys are the ones to blame for bad rides - However unnecessary critism by some does no one any favours....

Sorry hukky but if you have put your money down you have a right to moan - part of the game - jocks know this as do trainers - big boys they can handle the pressure
