Vodacom Durban July Hospitality

Understood, Craig, and you can't really blame GC for trying to earn as much as possible for the event - just a pity that the 'real supporters of racing' has to suck on the hind tit - that's life, I suppose. But I can't help feeling that more of an effort should be made to get the 'right people' to attend the day - marketing campaigns like earning 'points by attending meetings (country wide) throughout the year, etc.

Frodo thats why I don't go to the July anymore, even if one day I get a July runner I won't go! I will probably have two runners on July Day this year, unfortunately my Jhb stable is very weak right now so probably no runners at Turf as usual, I will rather go and enjoy the day at Turf, you are very welcome to join us my bud..havnt seen you and Elvis there for a while. Last year even though I had a winner on July Day it was so much better at the box.

Oscar, would have loved to join you. Fortunately my old man is a GC member and managed to get us 2 of those ticket Craig mentioned. It will be my first time at the July so looking forward to it.

its incredible that gc members who aren't even owners get preferential treatment on july day and all they contribute is the membership fees which is around 1000rand a year as opposed to owners like Oscar who pumps millions every year into the industry..a superb business model(tu)
