As an owner I would have to cover my expences on either 1) knowing when it wins or atleast places or 2) many win / stake cheques on a high strike rate on wins / places by the trainer... Failing both I am at a loss so how does an owner stand to recoup on his investment...or does he accept that it's never about recouping on investment...it's a loss and maybe eventually someday a bit of entertainment perhaps...??
