Can you win at Scottsville if you drawn towards the outside in a sprint?The two fancied horses where beat a long way out on the outside

This time of the year is a form studiers nightmare (my records over 8 years show you need to go a lot wider Aug-Nov!!)
Many stables take a dip in this period and I assume its mainly inoculations (could be viruses??)
Even Howells stable , who are normally so reliable, having runners running below best right now.

I agree with your comments. Historically, one has to be very careful during August and September months. The trainers use this period to bring out their average horses especially those that could not get a run during the peak season which culminated at the end of July.
