Well said OTA. People throw punches and are fined or if you are contrite enough get off!!. But cases like this highlight the ineptitude of those that run the show. By being desisive and taking urgent action they could do so much for the game and the image of the sport. They truly should be ashamed of themselves. Even if they did a press release or anything to at least show that something is being done it would help but alas the leopard will not change its spots.

I am not surprised to see the NHA have absolved the previous owners and "no one is to blame". I would like to ask the question that if the horses were owned by Messrs Scott, Brogan, Safi, Maselle, Welch and other similars, do you think that the NHA rules would be ignored too? I am watching Gordhan flying into the corruption within the ANC and have to sadly acknowledge that we have no one doing this in horse racing. The NHA are corrupt at worst, totally inept at best. The whole sport is manipulated by one greedy cartel.

Corrupt may be a bit strong Jurgs but you have my agreement in terms of the NHA now being severely compromised. They can hardly be termed Independant.

I've not followed all the details, but does a vet not have to sign a horse off for a new career ?

This must be easy to find ?
