.....Tarry should be OK....he has another rock to cling to....CvN should be able to snap up some of the odd shares where he is involved.... ;)

I hope the small and medium owners remember which trainers remained loyal to them while all and sundry were fighting for a seat at the green, black and yellow table. What a pity some of the smaller trainers were forced out of the game.

No doubt there will be a "renewal" of support from certain quarters at the TBA national sales next year.......

Always been my stand with my trainers , supported the small trainer , but then "They " got to them , so my list is maybe down to one or two , Something I tried to expain but greed by certain trainers eventually knocks the small owner that has been faithfull off , just because we have two or three expensive babies bought by thoses colours and others.

Well said

That reserved table in the pole position at CTS sales where the Lord lorded over the asslickers that grovelled in front of him. All looking for a piece of that Jooste pie and all falling over each other to show their loyalty and allegiance. Price manipulations galore and very few genuine "deals"

Hope they all rot they have played their role in racing capture.

The damage will be significant in SA. Not because Mayfair could scale back but other big owners who may also be affected by this mess.

SA racing has been way to dependent on Mayfair over the last decade.

wait and see i guess.

The only balance sheet that balances perfectly is that of your own life...the assets in the your life are yourself, your parents, your siblings, your spouse and your children...the liabilities in your life are anything harmful you do to anything of life...any of your assets can be affected negatively / offset against your liabilities...

Racing without MJ will be poorer. Much poorer.

However, who says that MJ will pull out of Racing Anyway? Except of course for the people who hate the man without even knowing him and who have gleefully already found him guilty.

I do not know the facts and have no idea about how the financial World works. All I know is that if MJ does leave racing it will be bad for us all.

He has resigned after alleged irregularaties plummeting the share price. Racing will lose yes, but we can't turn a blind eye. Besides racing thousand of normal employees in pension and provident funds through investments all lost today. You cannot gloat at someone's downfall but if it's through unlawful ways surely the law must run it course and he must pay the price.

The Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF), directly, through its holdings managed by the Public Investment Corporation, and indirectly, through parts of its investments farmed out to private asset managers, will be the largest loser behind Christo Wiese. They will be in good company though. Behind them sits every large asset manager in the country, including Allan Gray, Coronation, Investec, Foord, Discovery and Old Mutual. Large pension funds including those of Eskom and Sasol have also been hit.
