Does Striker actually use the whip or does he just show the horse it?
I think Come The Day needed a smack or two and might have held on for second.
Watch the head on,Striker pulls out his whip,looks like he is going to use but doesn't actually ever strike the horse on the behind.
Nothing wrong with looking after the horse if it can't win but unfortunately there are other bets out there besides the win for the punter.

Even stranger, one of the Tarry horses couldn,t go and set a half decent pace. The winner looked dropped in 200 out because of the pace.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Makara was the first to come under pressure (going through the turn0, don't think leading would have had a different outcome to be honest.
