There is always one prick on this site..no guessing who. RIP Barney Curley..anyone who gives it to the bookies is legend. But he also gave so much away.

not a nice thing to say...it's his opinion and he's entitled to it...
Most philanthropists...only become philanthropists after they have screwed someone else...you don't become rich by being a philanthropist...or am I confused....;)

I don't have the time or energy to study the pro's and cons of this...but some moderation from both sides would be appreciated...I too, get heated at times...but I also try to appreciate both sides...remember what makes this site great...is that we come from different sides of the tracks...respect that...;)

Have a look at when I wrote my comment triple tempo.
I wasn't disrespectful to a person who just passed on.
Your comment of....anyone who gives it to the bookies is a legend...says so much about how money is seen in today's society by so many.
You might be different but I would rather die with 1 cent in my pocket and know I was honest and had a bit of integrity rather than be a millionaire who made my money by any means necessary.

Barney Curley's legendary Yellow Sam gamble will be brought to life on television on Monday evening.

'Barney Curley: The Man Who Beat the Bookies' tells the story of how the trainer, who died earlier this year, landed one of the most famous coups in the history of racing at Bellewstown in 1975.

The hour-long special will be shown in Ireland on RTE1 at 9.35pm and will be immediately available on BBC iPlayer when the broadcast ends.
