It’s no problem no skin off our backs. There is nothing unfounded about our facts we have them in black and white. We know in life sometimes retaliate by rather attack and insult people that way you take the eyes off defeat. It’s a terrible thing this man.

DJ, I am sure that your heart is in the right place and good on you for caring.

Cannot see though why someone would want to leave a CEO role for a more junior role unless it is for more money or to escape heat in the kitchen.

Racing needs marketing people with new ideas and a passion for growing a business, not just extracting more and more from a handful of customers.

No one past or present has had the specific task of growing the customer base or has shown any ability to do so if customer numbers are used as the barometer. Under everyone's watch the numbers have dwindled and lets not forget the impact of Covid over the last two years on top of all the other issues.

Caring for customers and growing the cake and the customer base are the two most critical issues that racing has to tackle if it is to return to profitability and sustainable growth.

Until racing introduces a measured capacity building program and appoints a dedicated team to deliver on this vital objective it matters none who gets appointed as a structure without this function is not set up to succeed.

Very big changes are needed, not a band aid on on amputation.

DJ,

Imho you are attempting mission impossible with this petition. The 4Racing clan were the ones behind the SANTA petition sent to the NHA to remove Moodley and Hyde less than 12 months ago. Why would 4Racing even consider employing Moodley when they wanted him out of the NHA?

One would need to obtain a better understanding of the industry, the personalities, the internal and external dynamics that contributed to the demise before looking for signatures for a petition. A one man team can achieve jack.

Have you engaged VEE and is he supportive of your petition?

Good summary LSU

I was actually looking forward to 4RACING coming on board and positive about the future even considering the difficult times we face.

We could write a book with the disappointment as far as the new racing channel, which is now being reflected in the turnover.

It's all to do with how to treat your customers

We were actually approached by Gallop requesting we opened a thread on any concerns the viewers have.
My reply was if you did have problems you would not have to ask, as our posters would certainly be telling you.

4RACING have a totally different approach to THEIR customers.

Mornings guys. We can’t explain more than what the detail of the petition is. Please read it again so you can understand the step by step process to final destruction. Secondly, we won’t submit a petition to you if we haven’t got our ducks in a row and never had the conversation. Remember one thing please, Mr Moodley is paid by who guys? He is paid by 4Racing, correct? Why do we say that because the jockey club is funded monthly by the operators. Now Mr Moodley knows, his last cheque is as good as the operators last cheque. That is why he will drop from being a ceo to a nothing head of betting, because that way he secures his monthly income. So, yes you right, one man is not going to change everything that we all want in the end, but for us to see the end, we need to plug the hole now. Moodley can do that. I can tell you now guys, what’s the point of renovating your house like they been doing, have you seen the money spent in Cape Town and how much they been spending on nonsense that we’ve been told and making it look beautiful and adding on bedrooms and more lounges but you know you gonna lose the house to the bank? So what we saying is, no one is paying the bond instalments you understand what I’m saying, and whilst they bust renovating someone or two or three is making themselves very rich until it hits rock bottom. Please let Moodley go back there, he will work out how to sustain and grow the revenue because the guys there now know nothing about betting guys, but absolutely nothing. If Moodley wants to bring his partners back like Mr Finder from Betting World like before and the knowledgeable people who understand the dynamics then he can do that also. Then once he steady the ship, we can make our destination anything we want it to be.
Guys we telling you, we seen the numbers guys, we not forcing anyone right, but we sorry for all us owners and punters and staff that dedicated their lives to the game, that horse racing collapsed it was bankrupt in the 90’s once before, remember? That’s why we were understand they felt to make government happy they listed a horse racing company open to public. But racing died was dead in the year 1999 I think. It was bankrupt! Then it died a second time in 2019! It was bankrupt! So but the way it’s going now, it won’t take 20 years to be bankrupt again, it’s got one year left!
We won’t allow for the current people there to destroy our last opportunity.
Please get this petition spread far and wide and please sign this petition.

Mama Mary and Mama Fundi, we bringing these signatures to your front door, please don’t let those white guys around you sell you a lip service of how they will fix it, we sure they promised you everything you wanted to hear in the beginning right? Don’t make the same mistake twice. Take the chance with us, and take the first step and put Mr Moodley back in the betting seat. Not the seat of ceo or chairman or anything, only the seat that pays the bills. Thank you, have a lovely weekend and all the best to those fasting during this time.

Well with your comments you have already alienated yourself with the white folk and I doubt they will be signing your petition.
You will probably say we don't need the whites but just have a look at the make up of our racing.
Mainly white trainers, mainly white jockeys and mainly white owners.
I pretty much can guarantee you your petition will fall apart, not because it doesn't make any sense but because you come across as a racist with your stupid comments.

In the old days when racing in this country was thriving, who was running it?
Who is in charge of HK racing? The best run horse racing in the world.
Who is in charge of our poor corrupt country?
Are you one who still blames everything on apartheid nearly 30 years ago?
Yes you can say the people in charge now are doing a bad job but don't generalize that all white people will mess this industry up cause you making yourself look a fool.

@ Frodo
I compieteiy agree re his last sentence
I am a 63year old COLOURED so obviously was a teenager during the real struggle,76 RIOTS and all that went with it
I had a handfull of BLACK friends in Khayelitsha, GUGS and Langa and a few WHITE friends in Parow Valley
Now almost 30 years into... DEMOCRACY??? I still have those "white"friends
I finally found out who the REAL RACISTS was

So Deputy Jud, while your intentions may be noble,if you continue to sound racist, you have no chance with this petition

PS.
I am not saying all blacks are racist either

Sorry guys we don’t mean to sound racist honest very sorry. Look we just referring to facts. If the head honchos were coloureds, we would say don’t left the coloured folk fool you. All we saying right, is the power is white folk calling the shots right, and steering the ship or advising. We only got one guy sitting there but on a board that is toothless. He should be chairman of 4racing but anyway that for another time, let’s get Mr Moodley in as first step to get the pools to where he had them or at least half way. Remember guys we fight for the workforce. Staff, trainers, owners, jockeys and most important of all the punters who put up the prize money guys to pay everyone right. Yes Durbs racing was thriving in the 80’s, but we had the monopoly no competition no casino no lottery no numbers bookmakers weren’t greedy then and worked as partners with racing only taking the bets they were entitled to take that’s fixed odds right. Yes racing is thriving I think in Hong Kong as Durb says but they have no bookmakers there right. Yes we saying the guys now that are there now in charge advising on what to do next have no idea what to do next. I’m telling you guys. And yes they white folks sorry I would say the same if they were coloured. I won’t make statement about race again sorry guys we don’t upset anyone we only want the best forever. Mr Moodley is part of the colour regime to run betting and we aiming for a powerful colour chairman with tremendous knowledge in the game. These guys will stop the bleed. Sorry to upset anyone we really will fight for you but time is against us now there is no more money left guys to last another year unless we do this. Please believe us. Please help us reach our goals. Have a lovely day.
