An interesting card and some possible lively long shots.
Race 1 Hazel Green gave 7kg to the winner last time and if not for the draw would be a penalty kick. Still the one to beat. Not much between the two main dangers, Beautiful One and Panjandrum which have solid form and decent draws. A few first timers could be anything.
race 2 A Time for Love just gets the vote from Magic Verse in a tiny field
Race 3 Got The Look has been priced up a strong 11/10 favourite as she was touched off by Reet Petite which won impressively subsequently. However, Got the Look was having her 5th start and RP made significant improvement at her second start and there is no reason to think that GTL can make the same sort of improvement at her 6th start. I prefer Destiny's Dream at 7/2. Unfancied on debut in the mud at Kenilworth over 1000m, she ran a fair race despite a slipped saddle. The winner and runner up of that race have both won since. She will relish the step up in trip and gets a plum draw and the services of Fourie. Boozie Susie decent debut, but a wide draw to contend with. Xtines Princess and Autumn Rush can both improve. A few first timers to watch.
Race 4 Wyze Declaration has the best form and scope for improvement but again a skinny price and worth taking on. I had a nibble at Raffish Trend at 20/1, and she is now 12/1. Decent debut behind a useful sort and there have now been 6 winners from that race. If fit should be a big runner with Zackey in the saddle. Penny's Choice, Flying South and Piteraq all have useful form to build on. Again a few first timers.
race 5 Greenchoice has the best form but a horrible draw so odds on doesn't appeal. Fort Liam looks good ew value at 16/1. Green on debut when running on behind a useful sort. Nice draw and will relish the step up in trip. Another Elusive Fort gelding, Gale Warning is more exposed, but has solid form. Smarten Up and No Pressure can improve to run into the money. 4yo Ocean Sky must be respected.
Race 6 Kinda Wonderful is match fit and is the favourite. Scarlet Macaw seemed to need her last when only a couple of lengths adrift and is now 1.5kg better off so is much better value at 6/1 vs 2/1.Miss World, Symphony in White and Disting are competitive at the weights. I can't have Lowveld Lily at these weights (10kg out!) although she is a progressive 3yo.
Race 7 I like Royal Aussie at the weights and he should be hard to beat. Dangers are Outlaw King and Let It Be Said. The latter is ew value at 13/1 as he was only 2 L behind Outlaw King in the Matchem and is 1.5kg better off at the weights which brings them close together.
race 8 Looks a two horse race between United Front and Gallic Victor. I like them in that order. They bump some hard knocking older horses but I think are up to the task.
Race 9 tricky Race to end the day. Greek Heiress is the one to beat but a skinny price in this type of race. Lomu looks better value at 10/1, and all of Diogenes, Man OF Consequence, Chance Encounter and Signor Dante are in with a chance

HAZEL GREEN... Should be difficult to beat
Poor coverage on the canter down.
HAZEL GREEN the best of what I was able to see, which was disappointingly little.

- Hazel Green is likely to be right in the shakeup but does have Panjadrum to beat.
- Kubu is expected to be green and inexperienced first time up.

Race 2_
- Magic Verse is doing great at home and this race will be run in a way that will suit him. Big runner.
- Triple Time returns from a break but has some class about him. Could upset.
- ~Underworld is withdrawn~
_Race 3_
- Ain't Misbehavin' hasn’t show much back home and will be green on debut.
- Xtines Princess was extremely green on debut and she will make a huge turnaround at 14-1. Nice each-way bet!
_Race 4_
- Redlight Lane is far better than her first run suggests. Expect major improvement.
- Without Remorse showed good improvement last time out and a similar run can be expected.
_Race 5_
- Greenchoice is overdue and will be hard to hard to beat if he can overcome his wide draw.
- No Pressure ran a fair race first time up and will run an improved race.
- Smarten Up improved last time out and should run a similar race despite taking on stronger.
_Race 6_
- Lowveld Lily is useful but does take on some serious company. She’ll be competitive.
_Race 7_
- Get Impressed is back to his best and must be respected again.
- Let It Be Said has a poor draw to overcome but could be competitive if he can overcome his wide draw. Include at 12-1 in exotic bets.
- Royal Aussie won against far weaker company last time out and he’ll need to produce his best to feature.
_Race 8_
- Arbitration is running consistently well and should be in the money again.
- Mente Et Manu returned to his best last time out and must be included again.
_Race 9_
- Daniel will need to improve to feature here.
- Diogenes is better than his last run and he could cause an upset. Include in all bets.
- Lomu is in great form and should be in the money once again.
