French Open
5 years 10 months ago
Today seems like there could be a bit of value.. We see the return to grand slams of Serena Williams... She has struggled badly since giving birth.. She takes on last years semi finalst and current world number 6 Pliskova. Bookies have priced this up on reputation imo. Williams is 0,45/10 while Pliskova is 1,45/10. Pliskova should be odds on imo. Definately think the bookies have this wrong...

Cricket South Africa wants to pay the mens and ladies equally.

Del Potro if not for his injuries during the last couple of years would in my opinion would have more than one grand slam title. Up against the best clay player ever today but heres hoping Potro can pull of a huge upset and go to the final and win it.
Halep's makes her third appearance in the French open Final.
To me Sloane Stephens keeps things straight and simple and her temperament when playing top players is excellent. Hoping for her to get another grand slam.

Serena played the Pliskova twin sister in that match hence the odds - Kristyna Pliskova is ranked 70th and left handed and Karolina is ranked 6th and right handed...

Hope Halep wins to affirm her No 1 ranking - been the most consistent of late in the bigger tournaments...but Sloane Stephens has not lost in all 6 WTA finals she has played in...(got this from Google!!)

Glad Halep won her Grand Slam - deserved one for consistency of last few years and fighting hard in her matches even when over-powered and on the run for much of the match...
Got 2 multiples that close with Argentina to beat Wales...

Thiem has a chance - young player playing well and has beaten Nadal twice on clay in last +-1 year - can his backhand withstand the assault from Nadal's forehand for 5 sets ??
Thiem will do well tomorrow - he and Alexander Zverev will, barring serious injury, dominate men's tennis in the next 10 years...

Nadal different class. 17th Grand Slam. The burning question can he get to the twenty of Federer that if Federer does not win a Grand Slam again.
