I have no doubt that Bolshoi Ballet is the right horse and Ryan is due a change of luck.
It won't win as easy as the Obrien filly Snowball won the Oaks but certainly looks the best horse in the race considering Obriens options.
Good Punting
Fair run race,Moore,Buick Dettori etc all presented their horses to take their chance.

I thought Frankie rode a shocker on John Leeper.
A maiden not only runs 2nd in the Derby but thrashes the 3rd placed.

Googling...
Three maidens have won the Kentucky Derby.
But I can’t find if a maiden has won the Epsom Derby. Anyone know?

From what I can recall Merry Hampton won the Derby in 1887 with no previous victories
Middleton(1825) and Amato(1838) were unraced priorto winning there Derbys and both never ran again afterwards!
None of these winswere televised

I’ve Wikkied. . Amazing stories, unraced Middleton was actually the favourite and rotten bookies bribed the stable lad to bloat the horse with water. The trainer (?) walked the horse over four miles (when?) to unbloat and the rest is history.

Bob, I couldn’t open the link. I searched the news and you must be talking about Snowfall. That is so sad. A pelvic injury.
