ROYAL ASCOT DAY 2 AND 3.

Good morning all and what a spectacular day's racing we were treated to yesterday.

BAAEED as expected won well under hands and heels and a possible clash with COROEBUS could be on the cards in the Sussex Stakes not forgetting Native Trail.

The Aussie superstar NATURE STRIP did confirm he was the best as Golden Pal blew the start, but can't see that would have made much a difference.

I was looking at a nice Jackpot payout as Ryan Moore was moving well on Cleveland but had to settle for a second place behind Get Shirty.

As far as day 2 all is not lost and I have a nice ATC going onto BAY BRIDGE and fairly confident that it can beat the Japanese star Shahryar.

It's a very competitive card today and my only other fancy is LITTLE BIG BEAR and Ryan Moore is the man to follow today.

I am also touching on Day 3 it's a public holiday in SA.

THE ANTARCTIC is full brother to Baaeed and has won both starts well but more workmanlike rather than eye catching.

I am disappointed that Emily Upjohn has been scratched. SEA SILK ROAD looks the best.

It's possible the Queen will show up on Thursday as she could have a winner with REACH FOR THE MOON and should be included in your ATCs.

As far as the Gold Cup I am sure we would all like to see STRADIVARIUS win, Kyprios will make it difficult for the superstar to win and due to the going Trueshan is a doubtful starter.

Good Punting 👍

Note that DSTV has moved the channel to 208.
At 13:30 will be a review of y’day’s meeting. 14:30 banter. 15:30 first race.

My bet is Bay Bridge.

Good Morning.

Yesterday was great racing Baaeed may even be better than Frankel.

Today
Bay Bridge won 5 on rating looks too good.

Saffron Beach beat Mother Earth easily last time, can't see a form reversal, the rest were down fields and make no appeal.

Spirit of the Bay. Raced at Ascot and that's a factor on his side. At 12/1 and ew bet.

I like the Clive Cox and Karl Burke's stables in the 2years old race 1.

Al Qareem.. Karl Burke's horse to go start to finish..at 10/1 ew.

Royal Ascot ( Wednesday 15/06)

First of all the GOOD NEWS,here in Port Elizabeth we are having steady rain, which we sorely need.Charlie (See top left)is stuck in his basket with his legs crossed!
The BAD NEWS is that this is a terrible card to try and pick and bet anything with confidence.

Notwithstanding.
R 2 No4 ELDAR ELDAROV from very shrewd stable is a 2 time winner and has attracted money.

R 5 No9 ASTRO KING has all the creds.for the Hunt Cup cavalry charge.

R 7 No6 WHITE MOONLIGHT appears to be a lot better than seen a'nd is improving.

Came out on the right side yesterday due to the PA,will try again today.
Shopping later ,will be like Gene Kelly in 'Singing in the rain.;)

baaeed is certainly impressive but he lacks that wow factor frankel had, where he would put lengths into his opposition in a heartbeat. so far baaeed goes three four five lengths clear whereas frankel would put 8 to 10 lengths into the rest very quickly . would really like to see their comparative times just for interest

Would agree Jim you don't get the goosebumps we did with Frankel

However it depends on ground , pace etc

But BAAEED was Slightly faster than FRANKEL

1.37.76 VS 1.37.85

I will never forget Frankel winning the 2000 Guineas.
We all thought he had bolted, but no that was just his style.
In later races he had to put his head down but still won and remained unbeaten.
The judgement is when they take on the proven older horses.

That was Frankel.
In Frankel's name are the letters of the best Jumper ever.
