Steyn + Morkel back = Abbott bench... they can say all they want, now that everything has happened, but the proof is in black and white... Performance and form does not equate to automatic selection... Reputation does... then factor into the equation that there is a teenager, Ngidi who will be a Protea sooner rather than later (deservedly so imo), and all of a sudden Abbott is then 5th choice... Im happy for him, and he is a really nice guy. Once he has finished his contract, he can easily go into coaching at his new home club.. he is a very thorough individual and extremely intellegent when it comes to his profession..
You was absolutely spot on. Ngidi looks like to have a bright future ahead of him

The doom merchants should be patient. These young guys look as if they can go a long way. The spinning department looks solid in both the test and one day teams. The fast bowling department is now overloaded with talent. Batting side of it looks solid so there should be no worries going forward although somebody should have a quiet word with the keeper. He talks too much.

SA one day squad...................
AB de Villiers (capt), Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, David Miller, Chris Morris, Wayne Parnell, Lungi Ngidi, Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi
In Lungi Ngidi, AB de Villiers, Chris Morris
Out Kyle Abbott, Rilee Rossouw, Aaron Phangiso, Dale Steyn
Kyle Abbott and Rilee Rossouw - who were also part of the 5-0 win over Australia - could not be considered because both have signed Kolpak deals while Dale Steyn remains sidelined as he recovers shoulder surgery.
South Africa's attack is also without Morne Morkel, who has not played for them since June when he sustained a back injury. Morkel has been on the comeback trial since

Time to show AB the door as he cannot pick and choose where and when he wants to play. Imo he is just saving himself for the big yearly pay day from the IPl. No individual is bigger than the country or any club or province.

SA fast bowlers never ever learn. They were bowling short on a flat pitch, easy pickings for the batsman. SA bowlers appear to have this macho image about themselves thinking that the faster and shorter you bowl the better it looks no matter how long or short they have been representing the team. Problem is that non of them ever learn and has always cost the team in the end. Now the catching, well thats a whole new chapter. I counted 6 dropped catches in the match.

Imo, the bookies have priced up on reputation, not on the teams lining up for the NZ v Aus match that starts late tonight. Nz are 11/10 and Aus are 7/10. Aus have an extremely depleated side as they are getting ready for India.. No Warner, no Smith to name 2. NZ have a full strength team. Also playing in Nz so home conditions to suit. All my bets today are going onto NZ to win the first match...

India v England 2nd 20/20 on. Should be good and the pitch looks flat unlike the one that they played on in the first match. Looks like a 190-210 pitch

Stokes is a game changer but his T20 bowling leaves lots to be desired with. Goes at 9.25 per over...
The other day Rashid never even bowl...

Oh dear, how did England manage to loose that match.
Dreadful lbw decision in the last over proved decisive.
