There is a guy that played in the recent Provincial tournament for the KZN Inland team, Grant Roelofsen... He is a pretty much unknown player atm, but watch this space.... WIth the provincial season pretty much getting under way, i wouldnt be surprised to see him go even further come the end of the season.....

This team is finished as the captain does not even attempt to lead from the front It’s the 2nd time in the series that he stuck in a night watchman with plenty of time to go in the day. England will thump them with ease

Ronaldo has scored more goals then Markram has scored ODI runs :woohoo:

The Boks have scored more tries in the WC than Markram has scored runs in his last couple of knocks :woohoo: :woohoo:

That’s three ducks in arrow for Markram. This Protea team must go down as the poorest in 25 years.

What amazes me is how the selectors keep persisting with a player who clearly is not good enough at this level

you are referring to the person that I am thinking of, and thats Markram. Amazing how karme thinks that Markram is one of the best around in world cricket. Must be that Durban air that is influencing his thought process

It is interesting to read the comments regarding the Proteas.
Regarding AB ,the Rand is currently 18.70 to the Pound Sterling, that is why he has chosen to play elsewhere.
In the last few years we have lost some very good batsman :Kallis,Smith,Prince,Petersen,McKenzie etc etc and you don't replace them over night.Plenty others .
Amla, for what ever reason is a shadow of his former self.
It was not difficult to see that Batting was going to be our immediate problem .Yet in 2016 CSA appointed Otis Gibson(Bowler) as Coach???
I think it is a matter of time,we have to bring in players that must experience Test Cricket and if we lose a few matches on the way,so be it.Hopefully successful Test Batsman will come through at the end.
A lot of Players have taken contracts English Counties. It doesn't follow they would all have been Test standard.
Aiden Markram can score a lot of runs elsewhere but has diificulty at Test level.
Two County players who scored literally thousands of runs in England were Graham Hick and Mark Ramprakash.
Both played over 50 Tests and their averages were 31 and 27 respectively.
I hope markran doesn't follow the same path

In defence of Hick and Ramprakash, they played against arguably the best bowlers the world have ever seen, Ambrose, Patterson, Welsh, Waqar, Akram, Donald, Warne, McGrath, Murili plus many more. Markram has not faced any bowler in that bracket, why India have even left out their two best bowlers in Bumrah and Kumar yet he still fails. Two ducks in the last test and he should get a tattoo on his arm with the 5 Olympic Rings logo.
