.....this event was labeled as SAUDI CUP on the tote betting portal.....and maybe if they did it right they may have got a bit more interest....but these guys are f@cking useless .....and are only aiding in killing the revenue streams.....

The less said the better for yesterday's coverage of Meydan and the omission of Gulfstream Park.

Meydan Race 3, the top two in the betting, 4 and 13, the swinger paid R36,40 according to their dividends. Surely this is incorrect as the host of the pools declared a R3.50 dividend. Another commingling partner also declared a dividend of R36.40.

Did punters get paid the R36.40 dividend or?

I am sure when complaints were received about not showing runners going to the start, the reply was given "this is a betting site".

I can assure you yesterday it was neither.

The "after" race interviews were given in preference over world class horses live.

At first by split screen and then the live race on split screen removed to watch full interview.

It was the worst calls I have seen in some time, not to mention Ali calls not in sync when horses being shown going to the start.

Dubai World Cup should be interesting.

.....not sure of my play in Race 3 as the tote do not have yesterdays meetings up in the past bets yet.....but pretty p!ssed with the tote swinger dividends in race 2 where I had the 2 horse paying R8+ a place with the top 2 and dividends were below the place odds.....:S

5 Global Storm
M BARZALONA
C APPLEBY R 7.70 R 2.00
6 Kemari
J DOYLE
C APPLEBY R 1.10
2 Daramethos
A FRESU
M AL MHEIRI R 8.20
Scratchings : 9 Favourite : 6

Bet Type Result Dividend
Swinger 5/6 R 2.00
Swinger 2/5 R 6.60
Swinger 2/6 R 5.50

Exacta 5/6 R 23.60

........the trifecta actually paid well and was more indicative of the real odds....and got a fair % of that....:)
Trifecta 5/6/2 R 513.00

....but the totes inability to mesh properly with proper co mingling partners is causing great harm as it seems that with the smaller pools....there are the strangest payouts.....

Dave I have no idea what's going on on 240. They were making lots of progress but recently took many steps back.

1. Presenters on track are starting to think they are Oprah Winfrey and talk non stop, and extend interviews for ages. Definitely not their fault, as it seems to be the brief they're given. Look the other day we had Nadine of all people, taking us through a replay of a few years ago Classic race, when discussing the upcoming fairview race. Vicky in Kenilworth doesn't seem to want to end an interview, and Lyle yesterday excessively complimentary about how good the person he was interviewing looked in their hats.
My opinion, I don't mind this crap on a clean feed, and if I choose to watch a clean feed, then sure, do this. As a punter watching 240, and with me generating turnover betting, I could give zero fffs about the post race stuff, and was a shocker of a call to put the comment on the bottom of the screen that the interviews will take precedence over the live racing.

2. 240 is not to take all the blame. The tote has recently ensured that racing is about to die a slow death. We had no UK PA on offer the entire day yesterday. Then the evening meetings, we only had tote exotics coverage on a single Wolves meeting from 7.30 onwards, when there was Gulfstream and Aqueduct to cover as well. Someone is clearly sleeping, per my previous post on this.

I must reiterate, there's really nothing wrong with our on track presenters making a show of things. The producer in studio needs to actually produce and make a call, and show all the races, not see his mate giving ziets a cupcake and a kiss on TV, and think that needs to broadcast over international racing.

......sorry but I have no praise for any facet of 4Q racing.....as they have failed in every department and are driving our racing off a cliff....

.....the sooner MOD pull the plug on them and look for a more capable arrangement to turn racing around... and the sooner the better.....
