That's what makes the final so interesting. I think Germany will bounce much like a golfer shooting the lights out in the 3rd round only to crash in the final round. IMO it will be a tight low scoring contest and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go to penalties.

Argentina to lift the Cup at 12/10.

Not really but if I was looking for a style contrast I would say Bayern /Barca is quite close!

The one german presenter also made a point of stating that when Germany play they really unite and contribute in any way possible ..............why I say they may keep Messi quiet(as did Holland actually)

I can't get a feel ,as I say, but will probably end up leaning Germany way...............I think they will score in normal time and I'm not convinced Argentina will!!!!

Free scoring Netherlands couldn't get through Argentinian defence so think it will be a low / no scoring affair with extra time and possible penalties...then it's a lottery as to who can hold their nerves...and it is not always the best players that have the best mental state...

The best thing to happen is for the Germans to score in the opening 10 minutes then add a second. Then Agentina will attack. That's why I am going for a 4-2 ( well I have to get it right sometime)

My money was on Argentina before the tournament started and I haven't changed my mind.

Their defence (unlike Brazils) actually has defenders in it and in 9 of their last eleven games they haven't let a goal in.

I am expecting a tight affair that will be settled by a piece of Messi or Aguero magic assuming that Aguero comes off the bench.

Argentina have needed extra time and Germany have had an easy run.

I can't decide what to take as a cover bet but before concentrating on that Zabaleta at 46/1 to score the first goal is a good bet especially the way he gets forward. Argentina to win after extra time also looks interesting at 11/1.

My cover bets going to come from Germany to lift the cup, Germany to win 1-0 and 2-0, winning margin either team 1 goal. Will probably just back Germany to lift the cup.

I've taken 6 or more goals at 8 to 1 for the 3rd / 4th playoff - historically these games produce plenty of goals.

No matter what happens tonight, Arsenal will finish 4th.
