CR7 was greeted by thousands of fans in Saudi yesterday. He is set to receive the biggest football salary in history at more than £177m per year.

Ronaldo said: "This contract is unique but I'm a unique player, so for me it's normal”.

Al Nassr coach said "my goal, my objective for Cristiano is to make him happy”.

You had 3 shots on goal bc and scored all Arsenal had 14 shots scored 3 but VAR ruled out two.

VAR and the ref at it again tonight by not awarding Arsenal a penalty when Newcastle player assaulted Gabriel in the box. Disappointing to see a team in 3rd stick their whole team behind the ball for 90 minutes.

Sorry that we scored all our shots on goal, and you didn't.

Everton and maybe West Ham will be looking for new managers pretty soon. Liverpool will have a new manager from next season as will Tottenham. Conte will either return to Juventus or Roma if Mourinho takes up the Portugal national teams job. Klopp will most likely take over the German national team.

Real Madrid are increasingly confident of winning the chase for Jude Bellingham, with their pitch to him being that they are the best place for young talent in Europe.

Today’s Gossip:

It’s nice to be wanted. Bellingham will soon need to decide whom to join - either Real Madrid, Liverpool or Man City.

I do t usually watch any FA Cup games but when I checked on the Liverpool v Wolves score 2-2 I decided to watch the last 10 minutes. Once again for God knows how many times VAR saved Liverpool from an early exit. Wolves scored what looked like a perfect goal. The linesman said off side and when it went to VAR they could not find a “definitive line” to say if the goal was offside or not. Even cross will agree that that was a perfectly good goal.
