Interbet EPL 10 - MatchWeek 35 by Goal Guru

Tight at the top and tight at the bottom. And with Euro places on the line, it means that nearly every EPL 10 match this weekend carries enormous significance.

The Interbet EPL 10 starts on Friday night at 21h00 (Leeds fancied to see off already relegated, Burnley) with the sequence concluding on Monday night 4th May when Everton host title chasing, Manchester City.

In-between, there’s a Manchester United vs Liverpool showdown to savour…

Below are the Goal Guru’s pre-match thoughts:

1. LEEDS UNITED 47 vs BURNLEY 0: Burnley won the reverse fixture and did not concede a goal in their three most recent matches against Leeds. That said, Leeds is tough to beat at Elland Road, usually deal ruthlessly with already relegated sides and with a big edge on the G.G.I. are bankered at 4/10 to record a home win. [1]
2. NEWCASTLE 32 vs BRIGHTON 56: Slumping, Newcastle have a terrible record against their bogey team Brighton, only winning two of 17 clashes. Eddie Howe is a ferocious competitor and will try to arrest a frustrating slump where Newcastle seems fated to lose by close margins each time. The Seagulls are preferred as a better team with a robust 24- point edge on the G.G.I. though the draw is included as insurance.[2][3]
3. BRENTFORD 58 vs WEST HAM UNITED 31: A nerve-wracking assignment for the beleaguered but admirable Hammers who are struggling mightily to stay up. Brentford have been their nemesis though, winning seven of their last nine clashes. The G.G.I. figures and HTH’s suggest Brentford will prevail, hence quotes of .95. But WHU are playing like men possessed under “Captain Fantastic”, Bowen and might heroically capture a point or three. [1][2][3]
4. WOLVES 0 vs SUNDERLAND 27: Interestingly, Wolves are unbeaten in seven home games against Sunderland, though some of those games were goalless draws. The visitors outperformed their performance metrics for quite some time this season but have steadily slipped down the log subsequently. The betting market has this as too close to call. We concur... [1][2][3]
5. ARSENAL 86 vs FULHAM 37: After firing a couple of blanks, the Gunners came right with a 1-0 positive result over Newcastle. And how’s this for a stat to tempt fate – they’ve never lost in 32 home clashes with Fulham, the most comprehensive HTH (won 25, drawn 7) between any of the EPL sides. [1]
6. BOURNEMOUTH 51 vs CRYSTAL PALACE 47: 7th positioned Bournemouth face 13th on the table, Palace but there is little difference between them on the G.G.I. (only 4) nor indeed in actual points (6). Therefore, covering all results is advised, despite the oddsmakers having top scorer, Kroupi’s Bournemouth clear .65 favourites. [1][2][3]
7. MANCHESTER UNITED 53 + vs LIVERPOOL 54: Since Michael Carrick took over at United, they have won more points than any side in the EPL this season. The 193 previous meetings in all competitions between these two high profile teams has United up by 74 wins to 65. Sesko’s United may edge this but it’s too hard to call with true conviction.[1][2][3]
8. ASTON VILLA 44 vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 27: Spurs battled to beat even woeful Wolves last weekend whilst trying grimly to stay up. Injury woes to key players (Simons & Solanke) and a poor record against Emery’s side compound the crisis. As for the Villians, their current form is a bit sketchy, but they are still selected to punish “Tottering” Hotspurs. [1]
9. CHELSEA 50? vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST 41: Pereira’s compact style, penchant for controlling games through possession and getting buy in from his players as they relax at training sessions using their own choice of music has seen a revival of Forest’s fortunes. Chelsea are 7/10 favourites here but might be vulnerable given floundering recent showings. [1][2][3]
10. EVERTON 32 vs MANCHESTER CITY 87: City are unbeaten in eleven games and now possess a G.G.I. which surpasses even Arsenal - if only by a single point. They face a fixture pile up four games in 11 days but must show character and just “guts it out” if they are to lift trophies. Will Everton be next to be swept aside by City? Yip, the Goal Guru expects the surging, Cityzens to squash the Toffees in this Lancashire Derby. They are 5/10 odds on to do so. [3]

Suggested perm for MatchWeek 35:

1 x 2 3 x 1 2 3 x 1 2 3 x 1 x 1 2 3 x 1 2 3 x 1 x 1 2 3 x 3 = R486.00 which can be taken at the ten-cent minimum unit for R48.60

A smaller ticket is an option:

1 x 1 2 3 x 1 x 2 3 x 1 x 1 2 x 1 2 x 1 2 x 2 3 x 3 = R96.00 which can be reduced to R9.60 at a minimum.

Good luck and enjoy the soccer!
