Russia took in a lot of people from Africa in the 1980s who were fleeing from persecution who are now politicians in a number of those countries that abstained.

January 6th commission is flawed from the beginning in terms of composition so going nowhere fast...they can lodge court filings...just like impeachment, accusation does not equal a guilty finding...same as I said about Durham filing yesterday, evidence needs to presented, tested and then judged on...

Getting back on topic, Russians outside Russia seem to be on the receiving end of harsher outcomes than the decision-makers within the Kremlin...eg. sportspersons, an orchestra conductor, etc , etc...all the while the US continues to buy and pay for Russian oil to (partially) make up the shortfall in US production when "Joe"'s executive actions curtailed production about a year ago...700000 barrel daily shortfall, 10% of which bought from Russia...id10cy...

The Wests hands are tied but are they just going to continue watch Putin flatten Ukraine? Britains useless Foreign Secretary is off on another one of her photo ops this time to the Baltic States. She spends more time on her Instagram account than anything else. Johnson telling Russian oligarchs that he will be freezing their bank accounts yet giving them 30 days notice. The British Gov is awash with dirty Russian money.

Are you certain the US is still buying Russian oil since the invasion started 7 or 8 days ago? Reason i ask, if the Biden regime are (still) doing so, then they are talking out both sides of their mouths.

It should be remembered these deals are, in all likelihood, put in place some time ago, whereas, two months back, Putin "assured" the West Russia would not invade Ukraine. Whatever was agreed and paid for, there's nothing that can be done about that.

Before you say, but Biden should not have shut down the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in Office, admittedly that's what he ran his campaign on, trying to become less dependent on fossil fuels. Has he kept his promise? - unlike the other guy who said he'd build a wall and Mexico would pay for it - flip side, everyone is still looking for that wall.

Latest in seeking peace in this war, they are offering the Russian soldiers $40K to put down their weapons and to seek asylum in Ukraine.

Chook, go and read Article 5, carefully/with understanding, and you'll see why NATO (and the USA) are helpless to "physically" engage Russia.

Just like the illegal invasion of Iraq I feel so sorry for the people of Ukraine just going about their daily lives then this. Millions displaced and all they have is the bag with their few possessions that they could gather in it. Yet I moan about corrupt refs doing Arsenal in, rather pathetic.
