Taken a clean sweep SH @ 40/1 but won’t happen as they want an all NH final Ireland v England or France final

Half way there The Irish really believed that they are all that

@Chicken - as far as I'm aware the rule is that any head contact automatically leads to a yellow card (and yes the Welshman should have had one as well) - after the Yellow, the match officials check whether there is any mitigating circumstances, which may then lead to confirming the Yellow card, or upgrading it to a Red ..... it does not say that a 'Yellow card may be awarded depending on the circumstances' - or does it ?

Unfortunately, not all incidents are treated the same - and imo both quarter-finals yesterday were marred by 'incorrect' decisions - both the Welsh and Argentinians should have received at least a Yellow; then for some reason Wayne Barnes (and the Match Officials) decided that Aki being hit high in the first half, a penalty (for a prior offence) was sufficient (and I am not a Sexton fan, but his disgust at that decision was clearly visible - which raises the argument that he might himself been sent to the bin)

Then it is not mentioned anywhere that I saw, that the Savea try imo should have been disallowed, as the pass to him was forward ..... it was passed before the 5 meter line and he caught it ON the 5-meter line

In the end, I think that both the Argentinians and NZ were deserved winners (but it could have gone the other way in both games - we will never know); NZ took their chances and the Irish did not - that maul when NZ was down to 14 men, a try should have been scored, but the Irish never managed to get the ball on the ground

Let's just hope that the games today are being refereed according to the rules - I thing o' Keeffe is one of the better refs - so here's hoping that he does not get swayed by the crowd's emotion, if (for instance) the French Idol gets hit fair and square but he injures his cheek bone again ....

Unfortunately Frodo the law interpretations vary from SH ref to NH ref far too often. Although in the case of the Wales v Argentina match the sub ref is from NH and the TMO from SH. Somehow they came to the conclusion that in both incidents there was jo foul play.

Anyway that’s 2 NH sides, who by the way constantly talk themselves up, out of the WC. The Welsh are doing what they always do when they lose, blaming the ref, similar to Bok fans, and the Irish fans seem to have accepted the result gracefully.

Today is a big day for the ABs. If SA lose then the ABs have all but won it as they will surely beat Argentina in the semis. If France make the semis they will make the final but then the real pressure will be on. Can the French handle it playing at home (although both SA and NZ have won home world cups) it will be different for France.

See far a brilliant run tournament with no fans beating the crap out of each other unlike football world cups and Euro Champs ( watch next year all the shit in Germany when they hold the Euro Championships)

Seems a bit confusing  - which is perhaps why there is inconsistency

The likes of Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Portugal, Georgia, Chile and Uruguay should he given more tests as they all proved that with more tests they will improve. The biggest boys take most of the cake and these teams are fed the crumbs. Money should be thrown at these nations for spending at grass root levels. If the IRB seriously want to make it a world game they should start putting their money down.

Boks better be on their A game tonight

@cnc...I think the Pacific Island teams were helped by their best being allowed to play for their home countries even though they had represented Aus and NZ previously...made for better matches and Aus being put in their place...

SA and France have only ever met once in the World Cup and that was in the 1995 rain drenched semi final where the French were cruelly robbed of a winning try near the end of the match

I think that tonight will be pay back time
