Chantal Sutherland is also a model and TV personality. She has been dubbed "Queen Of The Longshots", has ridden five winners on a card, rode future Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird, was the most outstanding apprentice jockey in 2001 and was a finalist for the most outstanding jockey of the year in Canada 2009. She was recently paired off with her ex, jockey Mike Smith, in a match race coined as the "battle of the exes".

She was chosen as one of People's "100 Most Beautiful People" and is now the face of a product line in a cosmetic company.
