Does Elgar Really Have The Quality?

Not for me.Hasn't looked a good player in any innings I've watched him bat in.Can never be an SA number 3.

I don't think he has the quality to bat a long innings,and certainly doesn't hit the ball cleanly enough to take the game away from the opposition.

Plenty with those sorts of records that don't make it at international level.He's not a top no 3 imo.

SA has many good 1 day top order batsmen...Kirsten has decided to go with Elgar who must be given a chance to settle...the coach is a good judge of player...he picked Philander from nowhere and did the same with India's Kohli.

i hope Parnell is given a chance as a batsmen... people involved is SA cricket have been saying for ages that nobody times / strikes a ball in the nets like he does

David Miller should have been included in the series altough his position is not a number 3 batsmen. He had some good knocks in the Friends for Life T20 league in England recently.
