"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Thursday 21st February Workings...
17 years 3 months ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed and went as follows......
The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 3.45 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well enough, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.4, and with being a well supported 2.08 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.08. The Price then went for a big walk the other way, and out to our own price of 2.7 and above, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade looked beat and traded as high as 20s in running, but dug deep to come back and win, so frustrating, but the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' bet now though........
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.56, and with getting around 2.54 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.54. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 4th runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting around 3.25 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at around 3.25 max. The lay went and won, so well played to be fair and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it........
The 5th runner we wanted 2.6, and with drifting to around 2.78 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a battling finish, so glad of the drift now and a good leave.........
The 6th runner we wanted 1.3, but a non runner and 8.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.27. The price had drifted to around 1.36 on arrival and just getting bigger, we never see our lay price and so had to avoid the race. The runner went and won easily, so another good leave.......
The 7th runner was withdrawn, so on to the next runner....
The 8th runner we wanted 3.5, and with getting that and shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.5 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.8 and beyond, so a chance for a 'free' lay for traders and builders. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 9th runner we wanted 3.5, and with drifting to around 3.8 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a battling finish, so glad of the drift now and a good leave........
The 10th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 14.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.46. The price was a well supported 2.12 on arrival, so we had a lay at 2.12. The lay crashed out of the race when looking in trouble anyhow, so hope all's OK, but a good result financially.........
The 11th runner we wanted 1.8, but a non runner and 3.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.77. The price was around 1.87 on arrival and then dropped down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 1.77 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 12th and final runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.94on arrival, all strategy play completed, and with around 30 mins to the race, I'm leaving it there....
VERY WELL PLAYED..................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - 5 from the first 6 (83%) went and won - 6 from the first 8 (75%) went and won - an with getting through that very tough early start to break level at the very least, it was a cracking effort and well played)
'Rolling' strategists (no 'free' lays for them) ended level...............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a battle they ended up needing a little to recoup on their 5th lay (the 10th runner) and got it. So they end level which was a good effort looking back. (Iam aware that a profit could've been made with gaining better prices, but the results mail average/worst to cover all angles).......
Strategy/target players (bank builders) started with a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that only bought relief..........They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.54, and a good result see them win a nice chunk of their targets...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 4th runner) at 3.25 max, but a poor result see them go a little behind............They then had a 'free' lay (the 8th runner) that bought a tiny profit...........Then came their 3rd lay (the 10th runner) at 2.12, and a good result see them back level, and with 4 runner builders levels with just one potential lay remaining, they stop there, so levels for them..(I'm aware a target was achievable with better prices, so well played those that got them)..
5 runner builders carried on, and they had their 4th lay (the 11th runner) at 1.77 max, and a good result see them hit their targets.,..
4 runner strategy (bank builders) £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

Traders have won, or broke level on all their trades, so they've done well with too many winners again...
So a very tough start to the session, but pleased to say we boxed clever and ame through it well to get the money, or break level at the very worst. Well played guys and speak soon with this evening's workings...
Marc.
