Trainer Charlie Bawden recently gave up his boxes at Turffontein due to ill health. I believe he is not well and the prognosis is not good. Wishing him all the best and holding thumbs that he makes a recovery.

Charlie passed away about half an hour ago. My condolences to all his family and friends.

condolonces to the family - can you guys remember Charlie in his hey days in Joburg after he left Zim. He had one champion called THE AXE.Owned by his brother in law. If I remember correctly it beat an odds on Millard horse in a minor feature - at good odds.
