Phillipine Horse Fighting

The horrific "sport" of horse fighting in the Phillipines is now being addressed by www.networkforanimals.org/Site/HomePage.php and in an attempt to raise public awareness I have run a post formgridsmembers.blogspot.com/2008/02/cr...val-as-chestnut.html on the subject and have sent requests to all pertenant sites to do the same.This is in no way an attempt to try "promote" the site ...it goes way way deeper than that and if you see just how traumatic this is for the horses you would understand our concern,hats off to Network for Animals for taking a stand on this and along with all animal lovers and the distraught horses that are currently suffering the inhumane indignity of being butchered on a daily basis in the name of "entertainment",I wish them a speedy success in the abolishment of this barbaric practise

And who is responsible yet again for these despicable acts..us, humans.

sadly this is true...and now we are the only ones that can put an end to it,the pictures that I recieved from Network for Animals were just simply to horrific to publish in fact went beyond shock and awe and the sad part was to see the cheering crowd in the back ground.

I suppose you could call the Phillipines a so called "2nd world country", but thats no excuse as cock fighting and dog fighting happens in so called 1st world countries.ie US and Britain.

Also the stories that I have heard of what happens to greyhounds over here when they are finished racing..horrific. Having said that there are many who are rescued and taken into homes as pets..so there is hope for these poor defenceless animals.
