"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 1st March Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows......

The 1st runner we wanted 1.2, and with being around 1.34 on arrival and only coming down to 1.22 rock bottom, we never see a penny matched at our lay price and so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well, as expected, so a good leave.......

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.64 on arrival and only coming down as low as 1.62 rock bottom, we never see a penny matched at our lay price and so another race to avoid for all. The runner made hard work of it, and there were some crazy in-running prices, but he got the win and so it was another good leave.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.44, and with being around 3.3 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid another race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly another good leave.......

The 4th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.46 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid another race. The runner ran a decent enough race, but failed to win and came in 2nd, so it was 'one that got away in hindsight' this time.......

The 5th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being that on arrival and slightly shorter, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.8, and with being third favourite and 3.85 on arrival, and then coming into favourite near the off, we still didn't see anywhere near our lay price at any stage, and so we all had to avoid the race. The runner looked the winner, but came in 2nd after a battling finish and so it was 'one that got away in hindsight'............

The 7th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.95 on arrival and coming down to 1.81 rock bottom, we never see a penny matched at our lay price at any stage at all, so it was another race to avoid for all. The runner looked sure to win, but with jumping right throughout the race, he then late on ran out! so in the end we came within 0.01 point of a lay, but it was 'one that got away in hindsight' and very frustrating, but that's the fine lines we play............

The 8th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.8 on arrival and then coming down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay came in 2nd after a battling finish, so a good result........

The 9th runner we wanted 2.8, but by the time we got there they were well and truly under way, so we had to jump this race and move on to the next runner........Incidentally the runner would've been a lay, and got beat, so a bit frustrating, but that's what happens when the times are close......

The 10th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.95 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 1.8. The price then went for a drift and out to our own price of 2.1 and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders to have their free lay. The lay/trade jumped badly early on, and that was enough to see him well beaten in the end, so a poor effort and a good result........

The 11th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 5.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.18. The price was around 3.7 on arrival and with several minutes to the race, and all strategy play completed, it leaves just a bit of trading left at the table and I'm willing to let that go and concentrate on this evening's racing, so will get back to you soon.....Good luck traders with the remainder...

WELL PLAYED...............(3 from the first 3 (100%) went and won - so a very tough start, but we avoided those winners and then cashed in, so well played guys)

'Rolling' strategists (no 'free' lays for them) hit 2 targets.................They started their 1st strategy/target on the 5th runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 8th runner).........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 10th runner, and they hit on this runner...........That left an insufficient amount left to start another strategy/target and so they end the session winning 2 targets......

Strategy/target players (bank builders) had their 1st lay (the 5th runner) at 3.2 max, and a good result see them creep towards their targets...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 8th runner) at 1.7 max, and a good result see them hit their targets........

Traders have won on all their trades thus far, so they're doing well and good luck with the remainder...

So builders played a very solid early game, then attacked to get the money with ease, so well played guys. Rollers hit a couple of targets, so they played well too, so well done all. Good luck traders with the remainder. Speak soon with this evening's workings......
