Hi to the Clan
My observation for what it's worth.
I have been around for the past year and a half reading posts.
In the beginning there were only a few of us on at a time.
We would enquire about the weather in Durbs for a meeting at Greyville that day from a Clan member living in Durbs.
We would mention that we were hungover from a party the previous night.
We would ask about betting systems and Scotia would send you a Betfair book.
Now we have hundreds of Clan members from all over the world.
We all read the posts.
I, personally, don't have something constructive to say about every post so I keep quiet. There are probably many like me. They would like to shoot the breeze and chew the fat with anyone.
I'm not shy. I could add my twopence worth to every post.
But that would interfere with my DRINKING.
I'm a serious punter always keeping my eyes open for a tip.
But to think of something to say just for the sake of saying something is definitely taking up valuable drinking enjoyment time.
So, what now?
We still need the posts on horseracing issues.
Wonderful articles are opened up for us to debate on.
And, I think it is time we had a CHAT ROOM.
Yes.
A place where Clan members can log-in and other members can see that member Mr.X has logged in.
They then can chat, gossip, enquire and actually have a chat with a few people knowing they are listening (reading).
One post I read not so long ago went something like this. "It's only 11 'o clock.
Where is everydody ? Are you all asleep or what ?"
Now that Clan member definitely wnats a Chat Room. He just wants to pass the time of day with anybody.
Think about it guys.
A Forum for positive, constructive posts.
A Chat Room to chat to other likeminded Clan members.
