Looking at Mr Hawaii's thread looks like I was about 7 minutes late in breaking this news. Anyway look forward to seeing any reaction and will do a follow up article on our site if there are different viewpoints!

One of the quotes of the year thus far, "once you in Turfontein, you should be safe!"

Cuckoo, i must say i've never had any problems there myself on a criminal level but i don't fancy driving back to the highway as will put my c..k on the block that my friends from METRO will be waiting with a large empty van (or open wallets) for "happy" punters that have made a night of it - i think an AA meeting before every night race will be manditory for me this summer

We should consider bed and breakfast? or a shuttle bus after the last race to Holiday Inns or Pretoria?
In fact with my latest project, to take 60 people to the track, I got the price of a luxury 60 seater coach pta-joburg at R3,500 or R60/head, might be worth considering?

Scotia, reckon that shuttle bus is a brilliant idea. Guys like you and Mr Hawaii should be involved in marketing SA horse racing!

Been saying that all along.
But Scotia was not one of the big 5 punted by Jooste and Van.
In fact they told all and sundry they didnt know the amiable Scotsman.
Maybe things will change when Marcus becomes Bruce down under !

On that note there is a B and B in Umhlanga Ridge that has 12 bedrooms and a superb entertainment area that would give us a great deal for the july week end inclusive of a shuttle to and from Greyville and the entire facility exclusive to ABC members worh considering...
