Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows........

The 1st runner we wanted 2.8, and with being around 3.0 on arrival and then a non runner and 4.5% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 2.72. The price was higher after, but then came down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 2.72 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.02 (was 3.1 before reductions) and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade started slowly, but then came through to win like a good thing! so hats off and made layers look idiots. Glad of the drift now though, and 'free' lay...........

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.32, and with being a well supported 2.2 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay was beaten by the 2nd fav, so a cracking race, and a good result.....

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 2.58 on arrival and just getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, even though didn't really want to, so a good effort by the jockey, and glad of the drift now. A good leave........

The 4th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 2.04 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was easily beaten by Denman who showed amazing ability. So 'one that got away in hindsight......

The 5th runner we wanted 2.44, and with being a well supported 2.06 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 2.06. The lay went and won, so the gamble landed and the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 6th runner we wanted 3.5, but a non runner and 3.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.4. There was then another withdrawal and further 4.5% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 3.29 (3.3 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.0 on arrival, so we had a lay at around 3.0. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.6 (was 3.8 before reductions) and so traders and builders had the chance of a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and battled well to win, so another favourite goes in today and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay now though............

The 7th and final runner we wanted 1.3, but a non runner and 8.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.27. The price was around 1.45 on arrival and never came down to our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..............(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - and 5 from the 7 (71.5%) in total, so a tough battle today, but well battled, especially builders who got some wages. Well done.)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) had to concede 0.9 of a target...............They started on the 1st runner, and after a battle against winners etc, they ended up going to their 4th lay needing to recoup a little, but a poor result see them concede 0.9 of a target on the session. So not what they wanted, but not a bad result with throwing caution to the wind like they/we do, and with all those winners, so well battled and one of those things...

Bank builder strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought relief..........They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.2 max, and a good result see them win a big chunk of their targets............Then came their 2nd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.06, but a poor result see them give a bit back...........They then had a 'free' lay (the 6th runner) that only bought relief..............That's where it ended for them, so they battle very well and end the session with a profit between 0.3 and 0.7 of a target. Well played......

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they did well enough and well played guys...

So what a tough day that was with far too many winners. However! builders played an absolute blinder to walk away with a little profit, so very well played guys. Rollers had a battle also, but with them not taking the 'free' lays and throwing caution to the wind, they had to put up with a little loss, but they'll except that with all those winners, as could've been so much worse, so well played/battled all, and speak soon with this evening's workings...

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:42am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Never easy, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings, plus this afternoon's results mail..
