Calling Bolla

Hey Bolla!
What do you make of Santos' current run of form?
As a die-hard "Lekker ding" supporter it is fantastic to see the lads staring to put it all together.
Also refreshing is the fact that we've gone from a really aging squad to an outfit bristling with young talent.
It was also apparent in the Nedbank Cup during extra-time that we were way fitter than Pirates.
David Bright and Jean-Marc working well as a team or just Bright coming in and completing some of the missing pieces of the puzzle...what's your thoughts.
Sorry to the other forumers...not anything to do with horseracing but plenty of Gunners supporters getting away with it :)

Have to agree, Perpetual.

Absolutely delighted at the way the boys have come good. From second last on the log in November [I might be slightly out with that one] to joint third at the moment, and into the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

I had my doubts about Major Bright [Jean Marc was absolutely brilliant for us when he played, so I was bias] but boy has he got them fitter, hungrier and playing really good soccer.

I think he's masterstroke was putting Musa as the enforcer in front of the back four, instead as an out and out centre back, as he reads the play really well, and has the eye for a killer pass out of defence.

And with Rodgers chaing everything, and Scott and Isaacs having pace to burn, opposing teams seem to be having an allmighty problem playing against us.

Brilliant stuff, and here's hoping we keep it going to the end of the season, and who knows, maybe even a top three finish!!

Yeldah...some very good observations from your side and yes Otieno has been fantastic in his new role.
Let's hope we continue to pick up wins rather than the customary draws in the last few matches. Will be great if the two cape teams can finish 1-2 in the league...

Chris...same as with Yeldah...and I've made some really decent money because SA results tend to throw up lots of unexpected results. Made some decent money when Tottenhan (Carling Cup) and Santos (League) won on the same day against Chelsea and Pirates so very good odds.

And Santos go to third on the log after a great win against Celtic, away from home as well.

At the beginning of the season I had a little seculative bet on Santos to win the SA Title and Everton to win the EPL [Don't laugh, I do it every year], and this year it looks like Santos have a little chance.

Their next four Games are

Black Leopards [Home] (Last on the Log)
Cosmos [Home] (Second Last on the Log)
Supersport [Home] (Top of the Log)
Ajax [Home] (Second on the Log)

Should be Fun at 150/1

Tough match against a very uncompromising side...Jomo has his Cosmos teams playing brutal soccer most of the time but Santos can match that kind of game and usually a single goal is enough against a side that relies on the breakaway.
Cosmos is deperate to stay up so it will be a very tough match but hopefully we get the win and start Sir Alex' famous squeaky bum time for Supersport and Ajax...

Indeed

I think Bax, Otieno and Bianchi may get a look in tonight, to counter the "brutal soccer" of Cosmos.
