MDK runners tomorrow

I have just been reading MDK's comments of his runners on his webside. By reading between the lines I cant help but thinking he is not overly confident about any of his runners. Is this understatement or his true assessment of their abilities or am I reading this incorrectly?

The American contingent looks mighty strong.All the best to Mike but ability wise the Americans seem stronger as always.
