r3 1 lightning lecture - the class in the race and can carry weight - big runner from the draw if he does not lose too much start
r4 merlene de lago - banker
r5 5 secret lfe could suprise at long odds
r6 5 kilcoy castle - Kabool will throw a good horse one day and perhaps this one can put him on the map locally
r7 2 RAT BURANA - top horse and fared well in open company - my PA banker
r8 freiburg - not disgraced last time against stronger and is a quartet rover for me
r9 emperor napoleon and successful bidder- hard race
r10 7 breaking free should be the one to float with tarachello

Most impressive horse in a day filled with highlights was the R1.8 million colt, Warm White Night, winning the Protea Stakes on his debut. He glided effortlessly across the turf to victory, and a champ in the making.

Best ride from Strydom on Urabamba, who sussed out the ridiculously slow pace and won from the front to give the under-rated R.Sage another Grade 1 win.

Also rewarding was seeing another smaller yard, this time L.Wiid win the Grade 1, SA Classic with King's Gambit, giving Silvano his 1st SA Grade 1 victory ?(methinks).

Also impressive was the crystal clear big screen TV oppposite the main grandstand.

Disappointing was the crowd (outside the 'larney' rooms).

Otherwise a super day enjoying the company of Scotia, oscar, SAP01, zoro, catsmug, trigger, mr hawaii and others.
