"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday' 5th April Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.......

The 1st runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 2.82 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.18, and with being around 1.27 on arrival and not coming anywhere near our lay price at an stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well enough, so a good leave.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 2.7 on arrival and then a non runner and 7.1% reduction, we now needed a lay price of 2.39 (2.4 nearest exchange price). The price was still high and never came down to us at any stage, so race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner looked beat, but found another gear and battled well to a win, so glad of the drift now and a good leave..........

The 4th runner we wanted 1.2, and with being around 1.5 on arrival and although dropping down, the price still never came anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner left it far too late to be beaten by an ever diminishing short head, so a surprise there, and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 5th runner we wanted 2.6, and with drifting to around 3.85 on arrival and not coming down anywhere near our lay price, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won quite well, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.58 on arrival and just getting bigger and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten, so the drift more than justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'..........

The 7th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 3.5 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten, so another drifter justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 8th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.6 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten, so another drift justified, and another one that gets away in hindsight.......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.2, but a non runner and 18.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.98. The price was around 1.92 on arrival and getting shorter, so we had a lay at 1.92 max. The price then went for a walk the other way, and went out to our own price of 2.28 (was 2.5 before reductions) and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was nicely beaten, and so a good result........

The 10th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.64 on arrival and then coming down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The lay won well to make layers look silly, so the way it goes......

The 11th and final runner we wanted 2.32, and with getting that on arrival, we had a lay at 2.32. The price then went for a walk out to ur own price of 2.62 and beyond, so a chance of a 'free' lay for traders and builders. The lay/trade looked beat, but came back to win, so the way it goes, but glad of the 'free' bet now and no damage done....

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED....................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - 3 from the first 5 (60%) went and won - and 5 from the 11 (45.45%) - So a tricky start, but all came through OK, with too many drifters thrown in also, so well played/battled)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 9th runner) and with not enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, the end the session winning 1 target....

'Bank builders' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.6 max, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets..........They then had a 'free' lay (the 9th runner) that bought a tiny profit.........Then came their 2nd lay (the 10th runner) at 2.32 max, but a poor result see then give a chunk back, or go a tiny bit behind at worst..........They then had a 'free' lay that went and won, so sheer relief there!......So builders finish around levels and that's a good efforrt with all those winners and drifters...

Traders had to concede a little on the 10th runner at 2.32 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so they end around levels, so not a bad result with it looking a tough day before we set out...

So we expected a tough day and we got it with the winners and drifters, but pleased to say builders got away levels (if they decided to take the chance), so well played/battled. Rollers won 1 target after battling through early winners and drifters, so they got the wages and well played. Speak soon with this evening's workings...

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:57am.

That's what we have to work on for this afternoon then, and it looks a tough one guys! *Builders* are warned for today to have a good think before committing themselves, as with too many unexposed races that are unpredictable and leave us open to big drifts and gambles, and with several races lacking strength in depth, it does appear a tough session ahead, so be careful and think hard guys.

Rollers will go in as they have more than enough banks to just go with the flow and follow the value, but still tough, and we'll need plenty of fluctuation within our markets to determine any bets this session, but that fluctuation sure to come and so let's hope value wins the session as it certainly does over a period of time. Discipline to the maximum and taker advantage of any prices that come our way.

Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings, and of course this afternoon's results mail..
