One of my favourite Rabbie Burns poems describes the feeling well for a golfer when dumps his approach shot in the burn at the front of the green
"And like a golf ball in a river, a moment white then gone forever"
If we dinnae grab the chance this time it will be jst like the golf ball in
the river, gone forever.
