If a trainer got caught doping in a race after a sample got taken from his winner.
What will be the ruling?
Does it mean the stake cheque that was paid out to the winner gets claimed back and given to the second placed horse. The second placed cheque to the third and so on.
Does the second placed horse become the winner and does he get penalized in the MR.
Did this ruling ever applied to any of the ABC members?

Yes stakes redistributed . Big difference between doping and medication contravention.Performance enhancer like anabolic steroids should be dealt with more severely than medication contraventions.

agree with you martin - the most punitive fine should be for pain killers of any kind - that should warrant a huge fine or even suspension -

What if a owner refuse to give the stake cheque back, claiming that he didn't know the horse was on performance enchancers.
Is it the responsibility of the trainer to pay the stake cheque back or the owner.
