gold circle to my knowledge initially invested in a bee capacity with a durban based trainer this initiative was extended to cape town in the form of a owner/trainers capacity whereby two horses were purchased at gold circles expense and ownership by ballot amongst pdi's were allocated in equal shares half of all training fees and vet bills covered by gold circle this is where transformation with this great initiative stopped the two horses are currently being trained by basil marcus and mike bass what happened to the pdi trainers in cape town do they not qualify the above information about this intiative as best to my recollection was aired a few weeks ago on tellytrack

cape town dont have any pdi trainers or do they? the van reenen brothers? what happened to them ? reza van reenen stopped training due to a lack of support!promisess were made and one of only 2 pdi trainers had 2 close! what a shame did the big owners see the results he had with the poor quality horses? now the question is,what will happen with the enormously talented pdi trainer thats left? riaan van reenen seem 2 have had a fantastic run against the top trainers in the western cape! he will be overlooked as usual, and i fear we will loose another pdi trainer in the western cape,we cant seem to produce new pdi trainers and yet we cant look after the only one we have left? big owners and breeders seem to have no transformation agenda's and south africa just seem to do anything for him,pdi from the past becomes currently dissadvantaged and the people that ate them fat in the past has no concious!very dissapionted!

hi oscar, the amount of winners and fearture race winners riaan van reenen has had and the airtime on tellytrack should be enough, most companies nowadays would love to advertise thier b.e.e. status and show government wat their comitment to the new south africa is,but it seems like racing in the w.c. trys 2 get ridd of them instead of boosting him and themselves in the process!

donna why is riaan not doing well - i thought he was cruising after his big wins with his top filly and his recent win in that restricted race - did he not win the winter derby with a filly a few season's ago - i think he is a good trainer and he seems to find good stock at good prices surely he does not need B.E.E status he's a trainer in his own right - if i had a horse in WP i would give him a go without doubt
