ABC/BlackPearlBetting Tipping Comp Log 18th April - Hail Pirates

Here's the log then as of 18th April.....

Pride of place goes to Pirates, the first of the Clan to tip 4 winners for a return of R1,017.69. Congrats to pirates (pictured below courtesy of 2Cents photographic services)



The only bad news for pirates was that is was small chanage short of what was needed to take the lead due to the ultra consistent reigning champ, "the duke" who tipped 3 winners and added R326.60 to his total. The pair are well clear of Trigger who is in 3rd place.

A word also for bit who picked up R368.50 (3 winners) and for hermes who had 2 winners including the days largest price, 8/1 (burberry)

The first player to hit 4 correct selections in the 13 weeks since the competion began. If it's assumed that an average of 50 players per week took part then 1/13x50 = 0,15% is the chance of getting all four selections correct. This is quite surprising seeing that 9 out of 10 favourites won at Turffontein yesterday!

Analysis of week 3 results:
6/58 = 10,34% have won money
33/58 = 56,90% have "won", but lost money
19/58 = 32,76% have not won any money.
Overall 52/58 = 89,66% have played and lost money

All the favourites won but 90% of players lost. Odds stacked heavily in bookies favour!!
