"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Tuesday 22nd April Workings...
17 years 1 month ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows......
The 1st runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.32 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond (went odds on), we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result......
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.85 on arrival and although dropping down, the price still never came down to our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.97 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid another race. The runner was beaten after a battling finish, so again it was 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 5.4% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.61. The price was around 2.8 on arrival, just got bigger, and never came down to our lay price at any stage, so yet another race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so yet another 'one that got away in hindsight'.........
The 5th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 3.1 on arrival and never dropped down to our lay price at any stage, so once again we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well, so this time a good leave.........
The 6th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.7 on arrival and just getting slightly bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 7th runner we wanted 3.45, and with being around 3.8 on arrival and then dropping down to us near the off, we had a lay at 3.45. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......
The 8th runner we wanted 3.5, and with drifting to around 4.1 on arrival, and not coming back down to us, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten by a rag, so a surprise result and the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......
The 9th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.54 on arrival, being over 15 minutes away, all strategy play completed, and just a bit of trading on offer, I'm calling it a day here and off to hit some balls, then watch the football....Good luck traders with the remainder..
WELL PLAYED........
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 7th runner).......And with running out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, they end the session winning 1target.....
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.2 max, and a good result see them win a nice chunk of their targets.......They then had their 2nd lay (the 7th runner) at 3.45, and a good result see them hit their targets...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.2 max. Result positive. Win £83

Traders have either won, or broke level on all their trades thus far, so well played and good luck with the remainder....
So we tip toed our way through the session, and although I'm not too happy with several 'getting away', that's the way it is at times, and all in all it's always good to get the money however we do it! So well played guys, good luck if you have a pop this evening (looks tricky) and I'll speak again in the morning...
Marc.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Never easy, and with a mixture of races and make ups, it does spell a tricky session for us. However! we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so with discipline to the maximum and with taking advantage of any prices that come or way, we'll hope that value wins the session like it certainly does over a period of time. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings....
