"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening' Thursday 24th April Workings...
17 years 1 month ago
Evening.
This evening completed, and went as follows.....
The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with being higher on arrival, and just getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was well beaten, as only one horse run its race, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'..........
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.44, and with being around 3.3 on arrival and not coming down anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid another race. The runner found trouble in running, and was twice hampered quite badly! Then got himself back into it and looked to be coming with a winning run, then as he got to the leaders he jinked and looked to try and pull himself up! Got going again and ended up 2nd losing by a length! I just guess he wasn't meant to win that race, and 'one that got away in hindsight,....I suppose'........
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.56, and with being around 2.88 on arrival and just getting bigger, then a withdrawal and 8.2% reduction, we wanted a new lay price of even shorter at 2.43! we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so another race to avoid for all. The runner came in a disappointing 3rd behind a couple of 33/1 shots!!!, so another drift justified, and another 'one that got away in hindsight'...........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.4, and with being around 2.44 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.4 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.7 near the off, and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade came in 2nd, so a good result........
The 5th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 2.94 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.94. The lay ran a dismal race, so well beaten and a good result...........
The 6th runner we wanted 2.6, and with being a well supported 2.18 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 2.18 max. The lay came in 2nd after a battle, so a good result.......
The 7th runner we wanted 2.0, but a non runner and 8.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.91. The price was around 2.28 on arrival and with all strategy play complete, and just a little trading left, I'm calling it a day there, so good luck traders with the remainder....
WELL PLAYED...
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target...........They started their strategy/target on the 4th runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 5th runner).......
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 4th runner) that bought a tiny profit.......and with leaving just 4 potential lays now, it means not enough for 5 runner players and so they end winning a little bit....
4 runner players continued, and went to their 1st lay (the 5th runner) at 2.94, and a good result see them win a chunk towards their targets.........Then came their 2nd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.18 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100.
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10
Total bank now £410
1st lay £102.50 to win as much of the £90 needed @ 2.94. Result positive. Win £52
Total bank now £462
2nd lay £154 to win the remaining £38 @ 2.18 max. Result positive. Win £38
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.
****************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8
Total bank now £408
And with that leaving only 4 potential lays left, and not enough to start a 5 runner strategy, they end it here.
Overall result. Win 0.08 of a target.

Traders have won on all their trades thus far, so good luck with the remainder guys...
So a funny evening's play, as started off very frustratingly with those drifters, but we got the wages in the end and that's what counts. 5 runner builders won a tiny bit, but they know the safe way is best over a period when building banks to become rollers. Well played and speak in the morning...
Marc.

That's what we have to work around for this evening then. Enough for all strategy play, and although it's never easy, or looks easy, we do have enough within our armoury to go into battle, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon...
